The Ultimate Guide To NCAA College Basketball Court Sponsors

College basketball on-court sponsors have been allowed since the 1995-96 season, but in the NIL era adoption of court sponsors has ramped up as college athletic departments look for additional revenue to support programs and players.

With more games and more teams than football and more general popularity than other sports, the court asset can deliver high value and exposure for brand partners. Unlike the newly sponsorable college football fields, basketball courts are shared by both women’s and men’s teams, so the asset reaches two fan bases and appears in around 30 games a season.

As of the end of the 2025/26 regular season, 53% of high-major schools had an on-court logo partner. These were the teams that featured a sponsor on their court.
