NBA Jersey Patch Sponsors This Season

The NBA was the first of the major four North American men’s leagues to follow the lead of international football and American soccer and add sponsors to their jerseys. Since the 2017-2018 season, a majority of teams have had a brand logo on the upper left shoulder of their uniforms.

Since the debut of the jersey patch programs, teams have cycled through a variety of jersey patch sponsors covering a wide range of industries. Going into 2024 tip-off, these are the current NBA team jersey patch partners for the upcoming season. 

Social media data is based on team Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube content during the 2023/24 regular season (10/24/23 – 4/15/24). Social value is calculated based on impressions, engagements and video views using industry standard CPM, CPE and CPV values. Follower count is combined Twitter, Instagram and Facebook followers at the beginning of the 2024/25 season.

In its 7th year the NBA jersey patch program is well-established and a proven success when executed properly, so it’s not a surprise 28 out of 30 teams will be wearing a jersey patch this season. Most are sporting the same logo as the previous year, although eight teams have a new partner: the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans and Portland Trail Blazers. With a clean slate going into a new season, its a new opportunity for teams and their brand partners to maximize their exposure.
