University of South Florida Athletics has partnered with Zoomph to measure the impact of its social media accounts, benchmark against the collegiate landscape and provide insight into the overall value as college athletics readies for a new era. Working with some of the biggest entities in sports and entertainment, Zoomph’s mission is to measure and value the digital world.
“Social media is essential for engagement, storytelling, and brand growth across all industries. In college athletics, its influence is profound, connecting our programs with fans, recruits, and stakeholders in real-time,” said Michael Kelly, University of South Florida Vice President for Athletics. “Through our partnership with Zoomph, we gain invaluable data and insights that enhance our digital presence and elevate the USF brand. As we continue building a model athletic department for modern times, leveraging this type of cutting-edge analytics and data ensures we maximize every opportunity to grow and compete at the highest level.”
A finalist for Best Digital and SaaS Platform and Best Data & Analytics for Storytelling at the 2025 Sports Technology Awards, Zoomph equips the department with in-depth reports to measure both owned and earned social media performance across all programs. Custom benchmark reports further compare the program’s social performance against competitors, offering valuable insights into individual accounts’ success and overall social value generated.
“Zoomph provides us with a comprehensive view of our brand’s social performance, allowing us to measure our impact against both our conference peers and the nation’s top programs,” said Carl Schmid, Associate Athletic Director for Branding & Digital Strategy. “By leveraging this data, we can refine our social strategy and content approach to strengthen our position in the ever-evolving college athletics landscape. Additionally, Zoomph allows us to equip our coaches with key insights into how their programs rank on social media, an increasingly vital factor, when competing for top talent on the recruiting trail. Social and digital content have never been more influential, shaping public perception and driving brand value. As revenue generation comes to the forefront in the college athletics landscape, Zoomph will help us unlock new monetization opportunities through our digital channels, opening doors that may not have been previously explored.”

They closed out the season winning their 10th regular-season conference title, earning 248,000+ impressions and 17,000+ engagements from November 15-18, a performance that would place them among the Top 25 power conference programs.
The Hawai’i Bowl overtime thriller drew 1.9 million viewers, a 104% increase over the previous year. The Bulls capped off their season hoisting another trophy making them one of fifteen teams in the country to win back-to-back bowl games. “Our partnership with the University of South Florida reflects their deep commitment to elevating their athletics department and prioritizing the success of every program and their student athletes,” said Zoomph CEO and Co-Founder, Amir Zonozi. “By investing in innovation and performance strategies comparable to Power 4 schools, South Florida is proving that they are focused on competing at the highest level on and off the field. At Zoomph, we’re proud to contribute to their mission and amplify their impact.”
