New Instagram Mentions Tracking Now in Zoomph

Over the last few months, our team has released several platform updates to adapt to the new Facebook and Instagram integrations to continue to provide the content and insights you need, as well as enhance the data in Zoomph based on their new offerings.

In December, we released Instagram’s updated hashtag search, and today, we’re excited to launch Instagram’s new Mentions search.

With mentions search, you will be able to search and collect content that mentions your business’s handle on Instagram.  To search mentions, you must have an Instagram business profile connected to Zoomph. This integration will only collect mentions of the business profile(s) you have connected in your feeds.

There are two different ways to search mentions:

  • Media Mentions: this collects any new Instagram posts that mention your business handle in the photo caption.
  • Comment Mentions: this will collect any comments on Instagram posts that mention your business handle.

*Note: Photo tags are not included in the mentions search and are separate integration that we’ll be adding soon!

To search for mentions, add your Instagram Business account to a feed, and select the mention option(s) you would like to track.

A bonus of mentions search is that content collected via mentions will have the username of the author so you know who is engaging with your brand as opposed to hashtag content which is anonymous.

Metrics included in mentioned content are the number of likes and comments on the posts collected. Content collected through mentions will also work seamlessly with all our current visual templates.

If you haven’t already switched to the new Instagram Business integration in your feeds, read our guide on how to make the switch.

We’re excited to bring you this new way to track your Instagram engagements and look forward to bringing even more value for Instagram in our upcoming product releases.

As always, don’t hesitate to send any feedback and questions to support@zoomph.com!
