Meet the Team: Robert Lindner, Senior Content Marketer

At Zoomph, we know that innovation starts with people. That’s why we’re proud to spotlight the talented minds that help define our mission and support your goals. Our “Meet the Team” Q&A series offers a behind-the-scenes look at the people driving our success, highlighting their skills, insights, and unique perspectives. Get to know the people that shape our culture and power Zoomph.

Tell us a bit about your background and how you found your way to Zoomph:

I was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, which is where my interest in sports and the business side of the industry really started to take shape. I went on to attend York College of Pennsylvania, graduating in 2019 with a major in Sport Management and a minor in Human Resource Management.

During college, I gained hands-on experience through internships, including two summers with the Aberdeen IronBirds and a capstone internship with the PGA TOUR’s Valspar Championship in Palm Harbor, Florida. Those opportunities helped shape my career path and ultimately led me to Zoomph, which became my first “big boy” job out of college — and a place where I’ve been able to grow and evolve ever since.

Tell us about your role at Zoomph:

Coming up on my seven-year work anniversary at Zoomph, I’ve been fortunate to wear just about every marketing hat there is – and then some. Today, most of my responsibilities focus on our blog strategy and publication, SEO and GEO strategy, and collecting data and writing content for industry and event reports.

What is your favorite part about working at Zoomph?

If I could say everything, I would! But if I had to pick one, it’s definitely the people I get to work with. As a small company, we’re a close-knit team with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and being able to learn from them both professionally and personally is amazing.

What is a professional accomplishment that you are proud of?

It may not sound like a huge accomplishment, but Zoomph was the first place I worked out of college – beginning as an intern, then being hired full-time, and now approaching seven years with the company. Finding a role and a place I love right out of college is something I’ve never taken for granted, especially being able to be part of the incredible journey Zoomph has been on during that time.

What is your favorite product function or tip you can share about Zoomph’s platform?

I’m going to cheat a little here and shout out our insights team as a “feature” of Zoomph. I work closely with them on marketing projects, and seeing the projects and consulting work they deliver for customers is next-level and constantly inspiring the work we create on the marketing team.

What are your favorite sports teams?

The Baltimore Orioles, Arsenal Football Club, and West Virginia Mountaineers football. My sister is an alum of WVU, so they became an adopted fandom.

Do you have any pets?

My wife and I got an English Bulldog puppy in October named Maple. Since then, she’s grown from 15 pounds to 30 pounds and counting — yet she still thinks she’s 15 pounds, as evidenced by the fact that she’s currently sitting in my lap while I’m responding to these questions! 😅

What is your favorite lunch spot in your city?

We have a local spot we love called Fountain Grill – there’s nothing bad on the menu, but my go-to is the cheesesteak, followed by a slice of banana cake to finish.

What is the best movie show you have watched this year?

I’ve become a bit of a cinephile over the last two years, so even though it’s early in the year, this is tough. My top three so far would be The Sting, The Apartment, and WALL-E.
