Zoomph Powers Capitals’ Ultimate Social Experience

Here at Zoomph, Washington sports teams have always been close to our hearts.  Now, we have the opportunity to finally harness our super-fandom into a social experience that enhances yours.

Earlier this month, Zoomph began powering a fully-interactive, Capitals Social Hub. That means that during games this season, hockey lovers will be able to display Instagram photos, Tweets, and Facebook posts, on the ultimate social media platform—the very homepage of the Washington Caps! The Zoomph Social Hub also takes Capitals devotion to a whole new level, allowing hockey aficionados to interact with Capitals officials and share their passion through a brand new, live chat feature.

The Capitals are the first team in the NHL to offer this type of engagement to their fans, and that trailblazing shows in the form of their increased social media volume. For the Capitals’ first game of the season against the Chicago Blackhawks, the Social Hub drew over 9,100 unique visitors, who collectively sent out 5,463 pieces of unique, online social content. Think about it: over 5,400 pieces of unlimited social media influence generated in just over two hours!

This level of engagement not only helped the team identify social influencers, but it also facilitated an immersive ‘second screen’ experience for those devoted hockey fans for whom merely watching the game is not enough.

Click here to learn how you can get the same results using Zoomph’s Social Hubs. And this Wednesday night, be sure to log onto the Capitals’ homepage to interact with their Hub. You’ll probably see your Tweet or photo on there!
