We are now proud to introduce you to Trends—our newest feature for logging trends from Twitter and Facebook, and helping you stay in the loop with the most current topics.

Accessing Trends

Log into your Zoomph account and locate Trends on your left nav.

  1. Go to “Platform Insights” and click “Trends” from the drop-down menu.
  2. Decide whether you want to see trends from Twitter or Facebook using the menu on the top-right corner.
  3. If you’re viewing Twitter trends, select from a list top cities to observe. Also, choose whether you want to see daily or hourly trends. If you’re viewing Facebook trends, select from top countries.

You’ll instantly receive an up-to-the-minute report on the top subjects and hashtags circulating Facebook or Twitter.

Analyzing the trends that impact your audiences across the world can ordinarily be a tedious task, requiring you to log into each network and tinker with your location/preference settings to see what others are seeing.

Luckily, our partnership with Twitter and Facebook enables us to pull trends directly from each channel and give you a simple, accurate way of viewing the same data in one place.
 

Decipher Trends & Learn How to Join the Convo

To successfully capitalize on a trend, you need context behind the conversation, lest you find yourself on the list of hashtag “hijacking” fails by brands that didn’t their due diligence in research.

With our Trends feature, you can see what’s currently fueling a trend and gauge how much activity it has attracted throughout the week (or hour) to track it down to its original source.

The coloring of the cells within your overview report will indicate the level of engagement around each topic. You can gain a more detailed measure of activity by clicking into any row.

From this view, you can browse the content related to the hashtag or term. You can additionally click “Track [trend]” to create a Zoomph feed that follow the search term across social media.

By generating a new feed, you’ll receive much more content relating to the trend, alongside insights (e.g., demographics, comparison reports, and influencer ranking) into the audience it attracts.

While keeping up with breaking news on social media, remember to prioritize the why, when, and how something is trending. Jumping the gun on a trend can do more harm then good, but efficiently finding and exploring a trend can set yourself up for ultimate success.
