5. T-Swift + Calvin Harris = <3
T-Swift pretty much took home every award at the #BBMAs. And, her premiere of her ‘Bad Blood’ music video a sent Twitter a-blaze with over 750/TPM (tweets per minute). Music aside, the ENTIRE world could not stop talking about her & Calvin Harris’ PDA. In fact, during the show, #RelationshipGoals started trending. @OnAirWithRyan had one of the most engaging tweets with 114 ZPoints®.
4. Empire State of Mind?
No award show would be complete without an eruption on Twitter over the fashion ‘dos’ and don’ts’. @EOnline loved Taraji P. Henson’s, um, dress? And the tweeters did too – their tweet racked-up 129 ZPoints® Good or bad, whatever your opinion, Henson knew how to WERK that carpet & the internet.
3. Twitter Found Love with Ed Sheeran
Now darlin’, who doesn’t want Ed Sheeran to sweep them off their feet with his angelic voice? 2,218 retweets, 3,152 favorites PLUS a whooping 135 ZPoints® surrounded this @OfficialBBMAs tweet. Clearly, the Twitter audience agreed.
2. One Direction Breaks Hearts, and the Internet
Considering 72% of the audience tweeting about the #BBMAs were female millennials, it’s really no surprise that this tweet from @OfficialBBMAs had a ZPoints® score of 155 And when Louis screamed “Our Brother Zayn”, he almost broke the internet with 9,636 retweets.
1. Seating Charts > T-Swift?
Who knew black & white pictures of celebrities & “America’s Royal Family®” could have such an impact? @Billboard’s seating chart tweet was so influential, it even beat out T-Swift with 158 ZPoints®. Then again, One Direction fans don’t like to come in second very often, now do they?
